Avi has worn many musical hats over the years and is always looking to collaborate on new projects! Inquire for rates and availability.

Avi has served as a music director for theater, singer/songwriters, and Jewish arts and culture events. He was the founding music director at Romemu, a renewal synagogue, from 2006-2009; music director of the Afstelakhis Spectacle Committee Purim Shpiln (radical queer community theater) from 2009-2013; MD’d and produced recordings for Meira Marom’s parody projects, and Mira Stroika.

Avi composed original songs and music for Fowl Play: Conference of the Birds, and is eager to contribute to new stage and screen projects.

Avi has taught Jewish music performance workshops at Klez Kanada, Klezmer on Ice, Gelsenkirchen Klezmerwelten, and KlezKamp.
Avi has taught songwriting workshops for youth and teens at Berkshires Institute for Music and Art (now merged to Genesis), and the Isabella Freedman Retreat Center.
